Dr. Sahana Begum M is the Founder and Consultant Dermatologist at Safa Skin & Hair Clinic, dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care for skin, hair, and nail disorders. With a strong academic background and a patient-centric approach, she is committed to delivering ethical, personalized, and advanced dermatological care that combines medical excellence with aesthetic precision. She is the sister of our Co-Founder Dr. Mohamed Sidiq.
She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, one of India’s prestigious government medical universities. She subsequently pursued her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Dermatology, Venereology & Leprosy from Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, where she received extensive training in clinical dermatology, dermatosurgery, and cosmetic dermatology.
To further enhance her expertise in aesthetic medicine, Dr. Sahana completed an Observership and Advanced Training in Cosmetology at the Department of Dermatology, Stanley Medical College, Chennai, gaining hands-on experience in lasers, chemical peels, injectables, skin rejuvenation, and other minimally invasive cosmetic procedures.
An enthusiastic academician, Dr. Sahana has actively participated in numerous national and state dermatology conferences, workshops, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. She has presented scientific papers and clinical research at various dermatology conferences and has authored publications in peer-reviewed, indexed medical journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing dermatological knowledge and evidence-based practice.
